Hello!
Looking to have two HUD assets created in After Effects. If I find a design I like, then I'd like to hire the winner to create some additional assets and graphics for me. user interfaces, HUDs, sci-fi assets etc.
Please see the attached image to get an idea of what I'm looking for. Please don't copy the design, but draw inspiration from it.
One element will be used in the bottom left of the screen, and the other will be used in the bottom right. The two elements should be different, but in the same style. Looking for a sci-fi/futuristic/military kind of style. The main thing I like about that example is that it's made up of different layers offset in z space, so if rotated, you can see the depth of the structure. I like the circles kind of layout as well, they work well in 3d, and the holographic feel.
The content of the text doesn't matter as that can all be changed, but please only use free fonts in your design. As for the elements of the graphic... try and keep it quite generic, so it can be used in a variety of situations. Try and match the colours and effects of the design... mainly blue/green but with one or two additional colours for accents... maybe some glow, venetian blinds for a bit of a scan-lines feel etc etc. No need to animate the elements within the element... I'll handle that. Just looking for the design set up in AE.
Final Deliverable: Two Seperate HUD elements contained within one After Effects Project, in CS6 format. CS4, CS5 or CS5.5 will be fine though as long as I can open it in CS6. All graphics need to be created entirely in After Effects using shapes and/or solids and text. Ideally, each element will be in a comp that can then be dragged into another comp, made a 3D layer, click the collapse transformation button and then I can rotate the entire element in 3D.
No stock assets, tutorials or templates... needs to be your own work.
For the preview, just upload a short video of the elements rotating slowly in the x and y axis, so I can get an idea of the shape of the element. I think that covers everything but just give me a shout if you have any questions.

And that puts me out of the game for this one. Is there a way to know when you post new projects/contests? Because even if i follow you there is no notification anywhere and contests can't be filtered by contest holder. I understand that Freelancer needs to keep people apart rather than aggregating them but this is a bit too much IMHO. Anyway: good luck to all entrants. oh wow i am out , on this one. My workstation just BSODed me out of the blue and won't restart (thank you win10 ) and here it's holiday tomorrow, so no office workstation either.

I can get to your entry by typing the # but the video won't play. That's been pretty common with most entries as there's something wrong with Freelancer contests at the moment, hopefully they'll show up soon. I'll mark it as three stars for now, as scoring an entry sometimes helps it show up. If you could post a link to a Youtube sample or something in the meantime, that would be much appreciated.

Question: so internal tools only? I set alot of my motion graphics up in Cinema 4d.Would it be acceptable if some of the elements were actually footage (of course made exspecially for this project) or you need all in vectors so it can be scaled to any resolution you may need it for?

Yeah, it pretty much covers all the bases that pack! Nothing wrong with drawing inspiration from existing designs, as I'm sure that guy did, as long as it's you're own work and it's not a carbon copy of somebody else's, then that works for me.

Anyway, is there a way to "follow" you, so to say, in order to know when you post new contests? because i admittedly am new to Freelancer but it seems like they are barring any mean of comunications even within Freelancer itself, outside of messages board like this one. Maybe it's just me.

Worst comes to the worst, if there's no visible entries when the contest closes, then they'll have to refund my money... then I'll just hire you directly with that. They can't charge me for a contest with no entries. In theory!
