Hi ya’ll, I need 45 character designs for a video game I'm making. This contest is starting with the first 10! The game is like chess with wizards werewolves and dragons. Right now the game’s art is a set of black and white characters, I’d like to upgrade them with colored designs. I’m aiming to add polish to the game, and the art designs ya’lsl design will be part of the final game!
The desired artstyle is something like Hollow Knight and the tribal pokemon designs attached below. The core goal is to make the designs recognizable; players should know what a design is at a glance. Both players have 9 characters on their team, sometimes more, and it’s really important they understand what character is where with minimal brain effort. I’m also a fan of vivid designs. Bright colors are great and would really help players read the characters easily. I’d also like relatively few colors per design; ideally around 2-4 colors per character, although ya’ll are the artists, not me, so feel free to make exceptions. As an added note, I’m also going to add artwork for the tiles in the game. currently the tiles are gray squares, I’m going to replace them with forest tiles, mountain, oceans, etc. The idea is that the art for the tiles is more saturated, with more shading and colors. Comparatively I'd like the character designs to be more crisp and sharp to help the characters stand out from the background. This is an important for the character designs, so please keep it in mind.
Attacked is the list of the characters in the game. There are 45 in total. Please pick 10 to draw for this project. We’ll start with the 10 designs to iron art out the art styles and then we’ll put together the rest of the designs. I’ll be here all week to provide feedback and help iron out the artstyles. Interesting contest but I'm seeing a lot of overqualified work here for $20 per piece. Even if the reference art style requires lesser drawing detail, a lot of attention still need to be given for well thought-out posture and character design. Appreciate if CH would consider #increaseprize to attract more talents.

Probably 1024 x 1024. However if you need more feel free to up it to 2048 x 2048 or something similar. Mainly need all of them to be squares with the same ratios for consistency

Hi - is the $200 for the 10 deliverable characters asked for or are you expecting all 45 for that amount? Sorry to ask but we keep getting unpleasant surprises only after we've submitted the work, so we're finding it safer to ask. Thank's for your clarification in advance.
