Hello,
I am the author and creator of Friends of Finlay, an online awareness and fundraising site and page for childhood cancer. Friends of Finlay was started as a facebook page to update our friends and family about our son Finlay's treatment throughout childhood cancer. It has now grown and we raise awareness and fundraise for not for profit childhood cancer charities through camping. We camp for a cure. Camping is very significant to our family and 1 thing we learnt throughout Finlay's 2 year fight is that children going through cancer treatment are confined to isolation rooms, are not able to get outside and enjoy camping. Families are separated for long.periods of time too. I slept in the hospital with Finlay every 1of his 300 plus nights in hospital while my husband and our other children at home. Camping is a wonderful way for families to really connect, get away from technology and be together. We have had a number of group camp outs and camping challenges for families. We would love a logo to be the profile of our social media accounts. That we can use on merchandise such as bumper stickers for cars and caravans and for t-shirts.
We plan to have these things say something along the lines I'm a friend of Finlay and I camp for a cure and other camping quotes.
For the logo we want it very clean and simple but reflective of what we are about. We want an organic, wholesome style with not too many colours. Green would be ideal and a childhood cancer awareness ribbon with is gold. No need for text but perhaps Friends of Finlay.
