Looking for industrial designer to design an entrance totem and information totems for Science Center focused on getting underprivileged kids in contact with the STEM fields.
The Science Center is themed around it being an engineer development center for a space program. It will get kids and young adults interested in robotics, electronics, computation and the exploration of space. Once they're interested, we will offer free modular courses on the topics of electronics and robotics.
Totems will have to allow for electronic equipment such as control board and RFID sensor (both inside), as well as biometric sensor, circular led as the system behaves like Disney parks entrance totems (look up "disney parks turnstile" if interested).
Information totems will not require the biometric sensor.
It would be interesting if information totems could be different in theme (robotics, electronics, computation and exploration of space) as they will be spread around in the center and will allow for interaction with kids' rfid cards.
I apologize for the low budget. We're mostly focused on making our ticket price the lowest possible, so we don't have a huge budget to spend on this.

Hello,I am Really interested in the project.I don't mind the low budget very much,because the purpose of the project is amazing and i really love it.I believe i can design the totems and the devices inside + PCB design and software if you tell me what kind of information you need to display.Anyway i will do my best and i hope you like the entries.

Hi, I am interested in design the entrance for kid but I may have a little knowledge about industrial design. I can draw the concept of my idea, but I don't know if it can be built to real object. What do you expect minimum work to submit to this contest?
