The goal is to improve/fix the living room while keeping the overall room layout as it is. If that's not possible, at least the current room configuration should be preserved. I worked with an architect on that floor plan below (attached), and almost every requirements is met by this floor plan. The only thing that is not ideal is the livingroom.
