Hey Kris,
As per my email...
Anthony.
P.S. As you're new to Freelancer, often Freelancers (that's me) will request some proportion of their bid be paid by the Employer in an initial up-front 'Milestone'. This Milestone is NOT automatically transferred (paid) to the Freelancer, it's actually held in escrow by Freelancer.com, as a sign of good faith that the Employer is genuine & has real money in the system ready to pay the Freelancer, and then the Freelancer "requests release" of the Milestone(s) by the Employer, which the Employer does only when they're satisfied with the work provided up to that point. For larger projects, it's normal to set up several milestones to be paid along the way. For this project, I'd request release of the first 50% milestone once I've demonstrated "nominally working Arduino code driving the LCD" (ie. a working Sketch in your hands, probably a few pics, maybe a short video, etc), and then the final/2nd 50% upon completion of the project to your full satisfaction (i.e. all bugs worked out & all project goals met.
