Configure Linux on Samsung N150 Netbook

I have a netbook "Samsung N150" which has to run Backtrack 4 R1 which is a special version of Linux Link: [login to view URL] The Linux Version is already installed it runs kernel 2.6.34 Problem: I have hardware issues which have to be solved Goal: *get connected via internet to the machine *get the X11 graphic resolution to 1024*600 - now only 800*600 is possible *get the sound card working - currently no sound hearable (hearing tests can be made onsite) *fulfill this unattended - for initial connection I am going to help Prerequsite: connect to the machine via internet - please advise how to Time Schedule: 1 day finished in 26th of Aug - after that project is failed!
