Description
This project is already asked the only difference is that the data are not recorder to a computer via any sound card but via a recoding device directly to a memory.
Magstripper0.3 beta doesn't seem to work for some reasons the data are interrupted.
A fiber optic microphone converts acoustic waves into electrical signals
1. Takes signal from a small high quality mini microphone
2. Gives an output of +3.3V when signal from mic breaks threshold
3. Output drops to 0 when signal returns under the threshold
4. Frequency up to 100KHz or what ever Frequency is needed
5. Threshold to be adjusted by some resistor or capacitor etc.
The mag head gives out mag waves
have to sample in a good way... record in phase, then decode... for the moment in visual mode...
Possible 5% more acurate on partial swipes
Will defintly need to make new firware/sofware to decode the wave files
Magstripper software
Software used to decode such data.
Magstripper - can be found here ([login to view URL]) - you can import your wav file and get the track2 data.
- Convert Audio to ASCII text
- LRC and CRC checksum module
The program will read in both directions, after this the track2 will be recreated, you know:
card swipes forward - you can read the track from the start to end - 70%
card swipes backwards - you read backwards - 70% of the information from end to start
Will need to make a detection module, it will detect where is 0's and 1's that's the real job..
I'm searching for real programmers, that can help.!
It's a very interesting project and should have some fun too..
Some other projects for reading from raw analog audio:

This was a project that I wanted to do long time ago, but never had much time in doing it.
I know this can be done and if done very succesfully, will be somthing new availible and interesting for other to gain attention of new Audio Magnetic decoder
This is a prototype so size is not very important for now..
After we debug, adjust and have a working hardware in hand, will defintely need to resize everything.
I will be more then happy to supply and pay for costs of part/PCB Ect to get this project moving faster..
Will be a fun project to work together....
Looking forward..
Dear Sir,
I am strong at C/C++, Algorithm, Data Structures, Hardware Interfacing and Embedded System. I am really interested with this project. Thank you very much.
Best Regards,
