AJAX/jqueryUI project

I am adding a page to a site that will have a list of items that need to be either approved or denied by a supervisor. I would like the page to list all of the items with an added checkbox that the supervisor has to review. The checkbox can be used to approve or deny multiple claims at once. When a supervisor clicks on an item, I would like a "popup" dimming the background with the details of the item. This would also have an approve/deny button(s) and a place for comments. Upon approval or denial, the main mySQL table must be updated with the information.
