I'm a graphic novelist and I need artists for an exciting project which will be published in the Fall. It has full distribution by Diamond and so it will be available in bookstores, libraries and online everywhere.

This book will have TONS of publicity because I work in the media and have lots of media connections and have a book marketing firm backing me up. You will receive credit in the book for your work as well.

I have a small budget, only $2000 (two thousand U.S. dollars) total to work with that I am self-financing. The story is an edgy coming of age story similar to the movie Slumdog Millionaire and Precious.

I'm looking to put together a team of artists up to 4-5 who can work together complete a 96 finished inked pages of a graphic novel in 7-10 days max. You will split the budget equally and there will be a bonus given after the book sells a certain amount of copies. I need that many artist because of the tight schedule and because if you work together you can get it done 10 times as fast than just one person.

If you're a real machine and you can get the whole thing done by yourself or with one partner within that time frame then that's fine. Then you can split it with the two of you. I don't care. I just need it done within that time frame.

I'm looking for extremely talented, completely reliable, fast artists, with great attitudes that will not complain about the tight budget or the tight schedule. I'm looking for artists who can demonstrate real emotion in the characters faces and great backgrounds.

You do not need to letter because I have someone who will do that, but you do need to ink the pages as well. They are approximately 4-5 panels per page.

Please email me a sample of your work with that exact style. There is a full script and also I will provide reference photos for the characters and the background you can use.

The dimensions of the pages will be:

300 dpi Tiff is perfect and you'll also provide the PSD files.

Measurements:

Bleed: 6.75” x 10.437” (proportionally, that’s 11 x 17 or 10 x 15.462)

Trim: 6.625” x 10.187”

Live: 6.125” x 9.687”
