I understand you need a Cisco wireless technician to troubleshoot and resolve a DHCP issues on your wireless network. The issues that you are having with your wireless clients is not uncommon and most often is caused by bad configuration on the WLC but problems on the LAN could also prevent wireless clients from obtaining an IP address from DHCP. Therefore my proposal is to: 1. Make sure your wireless client are getting associated with correct APs and are being placed in the correct vlan or WLAN (if multiple wlans exist). Any misconfiguration or issues will be reported to you. A solution will be offered and implemented after your approval. 2. Next step would be to verify the configuration between the APs and you WLC. 3. I also offer to verify and resolve any traffic flow issues from the WLC to the wired network. 4. I can verify and reconfigure the DHCP scope if necessary. Common issues with DHCP are as follows: - DHCP scope exhaustion - DHCP traffic does not reach the DHCP Server 5. Verify the configuration on the WLC and make sure DHCP traffic is pointed towards the DHCP Server. As a CCNA Wireless certified engineer I know this issues to be very common and I will fix it for 2 hours which gives me 3 hours (5 hours total) in cause something goes wrong.
