I am looking for someone to research and write the best possible letters to send neighbours of a location where we will be doing some landscaping work. I am looking for a cookie cutter template that requires very little modification from project to project, but makes the neighbour receiving the letter feel like it was custom drafted for them. I need some who can think outside the box on this one. At this point I thought of 3 letters that would be required. 1) sent a week prior to commencing the project informing the neighbour that work will be going on, who to contact with concerns, how will this impact them, etc... (add your own). 2) sent following the completion of a job thanking them and letting them know that we are all finished. if there are any concerns following ie: clean up, or getting an estimate for work at their place to call. there could even be a variation of this letter inviting them to see the work. sometimes on larger jobs we may host a small bbq.. 3) a letter apologizing for any excessive mess (big excavation, lots of traffic, wind blowing dust on cars) and that we are giving them a car wash for their troubles. There are probably other scenarios that could use a formal letter and I'm looking for you to figure those out and draft them. To be considered, please think of what letters could be vital templates for increasing my neighbour/customer satisfaction and pr and list some bullet point for each that you would stress within the letter to make it more personable, or professional, or to hook a sale..

Hello, my name is Alisha and I have been professionally writing for 8 years. In addition, I have been working in the marketing and advertising industry as well. I read your requirements and think that the 3 letters you mention are indeed crucial, however there are a few other aspects I would also look at and some questions to appropriately address your requirements. Please find my elaborations below: 1. Will the letters will be sent electronically or as snail mail as well? 2. Letter 1 - I will add the expected time frame for completion of the job and possibly the size of the team. Suggest to keep the writing short and simple and perhaps use info graphics to communicate much of this info. Would also include links to all social media accounts and inform them that they can find updates there. 3. On the social media accounts- announce in which areas (not too specifically) we are working and give regular project updates. The span of the updates depends on average project span but should be kept consistent. 4. Before letter 2, somehow contact them on the day before the project commences, perhaps in letter 1 they can have the option to opt-in to this as a reminder service. 5. Letter 2 I agree with inviting them to see the completed work, again also add social media channels and do the updates of the project on social media. 6. Letter 3 - I would change the angle from apologizing to the car wash. I have reached the character limit, but will gladly discuss more. Best regards Alisha

I understand that you want something you can use in various situations. But I think you would be better served by creating a variety of templates appropriate for different situations. You want to make the recipients take note of your concerns and be impressed by the way you give them the appeal of something fresh but not necessarily brand new info. Since you have already expressed some ideas, we can start from there and refine your intentions until every neighborhood welcomes your presence, even with your sound and mess added to their day. We can do this!

You need someone who can speak directly to your audience, but you need to maintain your flexibility with these letters. As a full-time copywriter for an ad agency, I am tasked with creating deliverables like these on a daily basis. I am required to create content that is both tailored specifically to a target market (the neighbours), but I am often also required to make this content adaptable enough so that future use by the client is possible.
