I have a great command of the English language and an imagination to boot.
Herewith is a sample of something I have written previously:
Squinting eyes into a beach filled sun, hearing the seagulls voices ring out against the white hiss of the ocean, the saltiness of the air, salt upon the tip of my tongue as I lick my lips and close them to the drying of the sun and the wind. Ripples of excitement through my back and tummy, soon to be boarding a rubber dingy in search of dolphin. Sand between my toes and the sea swooping in to press me against the plastic of the dingy and then I’m up. Bobbing and looking out, facing the beach in an opposite way. The sweet recall of overcoming my fear to behold a sight and experience so spectacular, breath taking in the privilege of floating between two adult dolphin and their calf. Soft chirps and clicks, exchanged between them and for a mere moment they are suspended there for my eyes to emblazon their memory to my brain, and to the feelings swelling in my heart that accompany this experience.
A gentler memory of snorkelling the shallows, the waves dancing me in and out, as I catch sight of tiny little coloured fish, darting, so busy with their doings, some shy away from the shadow I happen to cast. I feel weightless and safe, and for this moment I forget everything that has ever made up my being. I am totally at peace, I smile around my snorkel and feel my chest swell. Happiness in a simple moment.
