Arduino 9 Bits serial communication protocol

Make a Vending Machine Controller from a arduino and talk with a cashless payment device or a coiner. Using the MDB (Multi-Drop Bus / Internal Communication Protocol) that is generally used in vending machines to communicate with the hardware devices. To jumpstart the protocol I started to listen to an existing vending machine. When I try to sniff the communication with the optocouplers described in bouni's blog. [login to view URL] I receive a lot of raw data and some translated commands. see attached. We measured with an oscilloscope and we see correct values from 0 and 5 volt communication. We also used invertors (2x) to flattern the 5 volt signals. For the final solution as a vending master we propably don't need this, but then we need to be sure that the 9bit serial library is correct.
