I need to design a simple underwater communication transmitter and receiver. 1. Smallest possible, omni directional, waterproof underwater acoustic transmitter, including battery, capable of transmitting a very low bandwidth signal for a distance of at least 20 meters. 2. Smallest possible self contained, waterproof receiver, including battery, able to receive the above signal from a distance of at least 20 meters, and indicate reception with a diode. Battery on both devices needs to last at least 50 transmissions/receptions.

Hi, I have a long experience in designing products in Hardware and Software, mostly in telecom. Can you give me some more data regarding you requirement 1. What is the maximum bandwidth required? 2. You mentioned 50 transmissions, what is the amount of bits in each transmission? 3. What is the data to be transmitted from the transmitter? Is it an internally generated data or does it need an external input for data? Please let me know these deatils.. Thanks Vinod
