CREATE DATABASE TO REPLACE EXISTING EXCEL DATABASE

PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT AUTOMATIC BIDS WITHOUT REVIEWING THE INFORMATION BELOW - I have not set a budget for this Project, will look at all submissions on merit. I am looking for a database solution, preferably from someone who understands racing or other sport data. I currently use Excel to store the results of greyhound races around the world. I use several Excel workbooks and sometimes several sheets within each workbook because of the row limitations in Excel and also the slowness of the calculations when editing or sorting data. If I were to put all my data in one workbook, I would probably have 1.5 – 2m rows of data. Basically my workbooks are all the same (except for the countries they contain data for), but the layout and formats are almost identical. What I want to know, is whether Access (or another database program) can replicate what I do in Excel and do it as fast. In each workbook I have a sheet that contains just the last 3 months or so of data. I use this to speed up search and calculations. I also have a sheet that contains all the data (including the last 3 months) so there is a duplication there. The other sheet that I have is a sheet that contains all the statistical information. I will try and explain. Each track (and there are probably about 200 that I save results from around the world), each track has races over multiple distances. On my DATA sheet I keep averages of all the results, so the average winning time for each track, over each distance, in each grade (there can be up to 20 different grades on different tracks). This DATA sheet also calculates the average time taken to the 1st turn at each distance on each track, the average distance from the winner from each box at each distance on each track, etc. I can provide all the formulas used in Excel if these can be replicated in the new database. I currently scrape a series of websites around the world to get my results. This scraping delivers me .csv files formatted in the same column order as my current Excel sheet, so I would like to continue using that as the input method for data each day, to be able to copy and paste these CSV files into the new database. Once the database is set up, I would need to replicate the workbook that I currently use to extract data for upcoming races. This uses a CSV file with upcoming fields and automatically creates a separate workbook for each race on each track for the upcoming day. Basically the process is this. It searches for the runners (from the upcoming fields) and extracts the last 6 performances (in date order) within the previous 90 days and within a distance range of + or – 50m from the upcoming race. It pastes that into a new workbook where a series of formulas are applied to allow for variables in the upcoming race. At present I have a series of macros and other small programs that automate most of this process in Excel and it works really well. My problem is the limitations with Excel as far as numbers of rows of data it can store and also the amount of time it takes if I edit any data. Can anyone suggest a standalone (or online) database solution that would store all my results, allow me to use the scraped CSV files as daily input, would be able to do all the statistical calculations that form the averages, etc and then have a function that would search, extract and run the formulas required for the upcoming races. I can provide links to samples of my current Excel files to those who demonstrate an understanding of what is required.
