I need someone with VB.net experience to write some code in VB.net that will calculate the variables of a power trendline/regression curve. See the attached spreadsheet. I need to take the X/Y of the data range in columns A and B and then calculate the values for "m" and "b". I need to do this dynamically. See the attached txt file. Currently I create an excel workbook object, populate the cells, then extract the information. This works fine. This is also part of a larger, more detailed function. HOWEVER, I want to do this without using Excel or Excel interop. I need to do this solely within VB.Net (not vba). I need to do this for two reasons: 1. I want my application to run without the user needing Excel as a prerequisite. 2. When I run a "goal seek" iteration code snippet, the current method of creating/closing a workbook takes a long time (30 seconds) to run 15-25 iterations. This many iterations should take 0-3 seconds. When I attempt to pass the array or ranges into an equation in VB.net, I of course get errors. So what I am trying to accomplish is beyond my expertise in this realm. When you bid, please bid competitively and responsibly. If you can't provide what I am asking for please don't bid. There is possibility instead of reading the values from excel to open a flat file with separators could be csv separated or any other common sign. After loading the values in a array than all the calculations can be conducted with very high speed.
