We are looking to create a series of 10+ picture-books (2,000 words) for children ages 2 to 4 (non-readers). We have developed something of a template for the stories and the characters and have already written a synopsis for 5+ stories. We would like assistance in the writing of the stories. Our hope is to create a fun series with illustrations (a la fairy tale) for “non-readers” with a couple young characters learning basic concepts in “economics” in (1) their everyday lives or (2) their imaginations -- like the Backyardigans. (The child being read to doesn’t need to know they’re learning about economics.) Crib notes will explain the concepts to the parent/teacher. Examples of concepts would be: goods and services, wants and needs, decision making and choice, scarcity, reward and benefit, etc.
This would be a ghostwriting relationship, where payment would be on a per story basis. If we can, together, come up with a high quality product, we have a “Phase #2” with more advanced concepts for children ages 5-8 (e.g., consumers buy things from producers, opportunity cost, division of labor, spending and buying, barter, etc.)
The overarching premise of “the initiative” is to build a resource for parents/caregivers to prepare children early-on about communicating about the world around them. In so doing, the theory is that when parents read (and re-read) literature to their children (and repeat the lessons in basic-economics) the immediate benefits to the children include (1) bonding with the parents, (2) improved language skills, and (3)improved self-esteem related to the parents display of satisfaction.
We are looking for someone who has a great creative breath and imagination that will engage parents and children.(You don't need to be an economist to get the lesson(s) across.) We want parents to want to pass this story along to their friends to share the experience. We want children to think of the characters as extensions of their own lives/[login to view URL] lessons need to be veiled by fables (e.g., 3 little pigs, princesses, castles, giants, small talking woodland creatures, fairy godmothers, singing crickets and dwarfs, sewing bluebirds, and magic beans).

Love your concept and would be very excited to bring my story-writing experience to the project.
I have written many adventure stories for pre-literate children as well as for early learners. I have a wild imagination but a professional work ethic - you won't be disappointed!
Hi!
I am adept at teaching non-readers, (read- toddlers) the world around us. Before we let them stand on their own (pun not intended), I would always provide them with all the know-how on preventive measures, in case they are about to make a fall.
'Big' things, like Economics, are actually easy bits to chew, if given in a baby-friendly stew. And that's what I'll bring to the table in this project, if you so will.
My writing skills are of no use, in this project of yours. But my creative thinking, and juxtaposed analyzing capacities, well that will be another bedtime story!
I am a professional writer and have taught children from pre-school through kindergarten up to grade 6 at an international school in Japan, using the International Baccalaureate system, which employes very similar concepts. See more in PM.
I am a native English speaker with experience in working with children. I hold a Master's degree in reading education, and have written children's stories in this same vein before. I look forward to working with you on this project and am willing to answer any questions you might have for me.
Dear Contractor:
I’m a creative writer with twelve years’ consistent experience writing and ten at editing. I have strong skills in language, pacing, plot and characterization as well as the ability to write in different styles, voice and gender viewpoint. I have excellent skills in story structure and write in several genres with over 850,000 words to my credit.
I have edited/assessed and critiqued works for the last ten years at writing workshops and recently for a living as a ghostwriter/editor. Workshop experience at a conservative estimate equals editing and critiquing about ten pieces a week for approximately ten years. Add this to what I have done for colleagues and work and it becomes a vast amount of knowledge in assessment of the craft.
I have the ability to Skype for long distance communication – I’m in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Keith Mabbs.

I have recently finished a ghost writing fictional book of 100 pages with a linestory and many characters. I believe that i have the skills for completing your project. I am thinking at transforming goods for example in understanding concepts for kids, like: a story in which a wizard is trading potions with animals in the forest located in the sky. It involves nature, people, animals, culors, economics.
Thank you for your attention and interest in my offer.
