I want someone to input text and basic graphic images into In-Design to produce an academic journal. The template has already been created, so the job is mainly flowing in new text articles and setting it into the correct body text and headings format. It will also require that tables and basic figures are taken from author manuscripts and re-created in the Journal's existing style. The designer will be responsible for taking approx four papers for each issue, each with a word length of between 4,000 - 8,000 words and flowing the copy into the pages. The tables will have to be added into the copy. There will also be a need to input the paper titles onto the cover, to paste in brief abstracts (single paragraphs) onto the abstracts page, to set the page numbering, and to layout the contents page. The copy frequently uses special characters, particular algebra for equations, so this have to be pasted in correctly. This task requires a skilled print designer with experience of In-Design and ideally a background in magazine work. For such a designer the job is very simple, the key point is to avoid any mistakes. Our current designer took between 2-3 days for each job. There will be four issues per year. Good understanding of English will be required, but the designer will not be expected to do any editing work.
