Concept Artists (character and environment)

Concept artwork pieces (3-6 per artist, various sizes) following strict style guides, pop culture examples and written descriptions. Design for these concept pieces is geared towards influencing and inspiring 3D animators and graphic designers, who will use your concepts during the production of a video game to attain specific visual appeal. A permanent position may become available to the right candidate who provides an exceptional set of concepts. All concepts will be loosely geared around two core visions (abridged here); For characters; [...] draw heavily on traditional "steampunk" influences. A strong reclamation vibe; "pieced together". Technological, but salvaged and jerry-rigged. Buckles, belts, straps, bandoliers, pockets; mixed with scrap metal, archaic instruments for navigation and measurement, building tools and materials. For environment; [...] should appear aged but not ruined. Semi-typical western human architecture touched by traces of steampunk/dieselpunk development. Rudimentary and temporary dwellings that have since been abandoned are commonplace. Cities are not abandoned but neither are they maintained or policed. Wilderness should be littered, but untamed and majestic. A subtle sense of a brief period of extreme civil unrest, which is already fading into the pages of history."
