Convert a Template to a Website

I want to have a wordpress theme modified for me to use as a website - I want a designed look - while it will primarily start as a blog I want to ensure I can load video and potentially use it for commerce down the track I'm definitely not technical so what I'm looking for: -help to choose a WP (or similar) theme that can be modified to present the information I want and provide the right feel (I have a draft site ---already on free wordpress theme but think I may need new theme) -easy to use and for me to update -I want a monochromatic look with pops of colour -modifying the theme to create a look and structure that suits and is professional/ contemporary -I'll start with a text site but want to be able to upload videos and presentations -works on laptops, phones and iPads -with links to social media -Use my url - at the moment I'm on wordpress - I want to escape the limitations of WP hosting and so will decide on a host My business is around working with cities to foster collaboration and creativity- I want to start with a blog and then include video interviews, on line presentations etc Able to include various plug ins as needed (down the track) - around managing emails, selling courses, commerce etc etc
