We require a character recognition system which can recognize characters on a jpeg and/or bitmap image.
The reasoning behind the project is the requirement to recognize the characters on a vehicle number plate when a bitmap image of a vehicle is loaded.
Deliverables:
- A system which can recognize potential areas within an image where a number plate could reside.
- OCR system which can test each area for the number plate characters, segment the characters on the number plate, decode the characters on the number plate.
- All associated Project Source Code is required upon completion.
