Contractor Logging Application

This application will be used to firstly provide a contractor of a list of persons to visit and to capture the outcome of the visit. The outcome will be a simple drop-down that the contractor selects and a free text field for comments. The application will capture a GPS position as part of the data so that it can be proven that the contractor was at the physical location as required. The application should not allow capturing of such a job if a GPS lock cannot be acquired and should alert the user and offer to launch the device’s GPS configuration to rectify this problem. The application will get the list from a server and send the results back to the server. Access must be controlled to the application and the server. See attached document for the full requirements. It is foreseen that the application functionality may grow and that we may expand to other mobile platforms such as Apple and Windows Mobile. These can be optionally quoted for if the developer wants to. Technologies we want this implemented are: Required: Java, JEE, SOAP, Android Preferred: PostgreSQL, JBoss Application Server, JPA implementation such as Hibernate.
