Convert a VB app to work on Linux

Please read carefully:

I need an expert coder who knows both Microsoft MSSQL/.NET and LAMP.

This project is to convert an existing VB application to a Linux application that runs in CentOS.

The current VB app reads data from source files (text,excel, xml) dumped in a specific folder and parses the files to grab the requested data and insert them in a table in a MSSQL server database.

I am changing my server from Microsoft server 2003 and MSSQL server to Linux CentOS and Mysql. So I need this application rewritten in whatever language that can run in Linux.

Coder must have VB knowledge to understand what current code does. And also be an expert in LAMP to re-create the app in the new environment.

I will give you the scripts for creating all the tables we need in the MYSQP database. then coder must create the app and test in the test environment.

More about source files: these are text oe excel files that include patient appointment information with medical practices. We parse these files to get things like name, lastname, appointment time/date, reasons, phone number, etc. we parse and insert about 20 fields per source file.

Note: these adapters, data parsers are NOW working perfectly in the VB app. You may just need to read that code and redo it in the Linux environment.

The New app under linux must be running on the server at all times, looking for new files to be dumped in a specific folder. You might want to use a CRON job or any other method. The application also send success and failure emails after processing / parsing the source files. These emails include some dynamic information like customer name, number of rows parsed, etc.
