AWS EC2 Spot Instance boot from EBS or EFS

Hi there There're two ways to accomplish this. 1. Provision a base AMI from which the spot instances will be launched. The base AMI will be configured overtime depending on changes in the software stack. Save all your processed data to a persistent storage either S3 or Database. 2. Deactivate EBS delete on termination (i.e when a spot instance is terminated it won't delete the EBS) Create a snapshot and then attach it to the newly started Spot instance. This process is a time consuming one but using this approach you don't have to save the data elsewhere as your data will stay persistent between spot termination. Also as you'll be using spot instances so I'm assuming that your app is already configured to work on a failover manner; as all AWS resources are ephemeral i.e. they can disappear at any time without any prior notice.
