Have you got a particular knack with your mac or iPad? Are you an IT teacher, graphic designer, photographer, or general creative with spare hours and apple mac knowledge nuggets to share? Then we need you to teach in our school! We are opening a school in our underground bar and are scouting for people to teach anyone who wants to learn about how to use their mac better. At the moment we're totally flexible on specific topics, size of class, time etc, and we’d generally be looking to mould the class around the teacher. We have a large database of customers we'll be stirring interest with, and any potential / current students you had would also be welcome. We'd be looking to hire you and pay a rate per class or hour, which is not set as yet. Basically if you're a whizz at general mac usage and a people person you're in. A bit about us, we’re the Macsmiths of Hackney! we’re a mac repair shop based just by Cambridge Heath station, and repair laptops and iMacs with love and care in our workshop! We have a great wee team of 4, and also house a cocktail bar by night. If you're interested, or have any questions, we’d love to hear from you! Greetings, I am a native of Texas, USA, currently living in Paphos, Cyprus. As for history... I have been a Mac user since System 6!! Yes, long before OS X. My first computer was a new Macintosh II-cx, and have only owned 1 PC (in my life!), which was for a specific purpose project for a client. Other than that, I have owned only Macs, well except for the two Apple clones I bought in the late 80s! As for skills, I am an extensively experienced user of all OS versions from System 6 through OS X (currently using El Capitan). I'm also an expert level user of Adobe's Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat. I've taught individuals and corporate groups in the use of InDesign. I have also been involved in book development for educational publishers, which involves design of the pages and production (format & layout) of the pages, all the way through supplying press-ready PDFs to the printer. To give you an idea of experience, I once had nine different systems, in an office with 2 laptops, 3 iMacs, and 4 Mac Pro towers, one of which was a server for our website and email, all networked and with wifi in the office. Installed drives, ram, boards, etc. So, I know my way around! :) And, I am a licensed iOS developer with four apps on the iTunes app store. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!
