Hi, Its not recommended to use MS-Access in a multi-user scenario, because it will become unstable crash sooner or later or experience data corruption. The proper recommended approach is to use MS-SQL Server (the Express edition is free) for a multi-user database, and keep Access as the front-end via ODBC linked tables. My bid is: 1) to upgrade your Access database to SQL Server backed, and ensure that the front-end works correctly, as well as to help set it up for you on your network 2) Put in the code to track edits/new records/deletions with a user interface (form) to view the log of changes Can deliver in 12 days or less. Hello, I would put the after insert and after update triggers which would save the information about user and time the action was taken to another table with all the updated rows and new values of these update rows. Dear Dan, I'm developing for/with my customers MS Access applications since mor than 25 years. Selecting me for this project you'll get a very professional developer to solve you current problem. The easiest way to solve this problem is to modify the apllication form to log the modified/deleted/added data. If this is not possible we need some more information like a timestamp in each tabel to check if something was changed and a user field to know who changed the data. To track the before and after values you need a copy of the table and you have to compare for each changed row each field against the updated record. There is no way to register changes in tables by itself. It can be done in procedures or form events. Microsft Access 13 uses triggerss, which let you do just what you want. I never used in triggers in M.A. yet. Do you know you can have data in a web server and use the same Microsoft Access interfaz app? I have much experience using MySQL database in web server and Microsoft Access app like front end. If you want to test an example, feel free to contact me.

Hello, I would like to complete this project for you. I am experienced in SQL and Access and could start soon. For an audit trail, the easiest way to implement it, in my opinion, is to use forms for input, and add an event that catches all the changes before they update the databse tables.
