Overview
People with autism and other learning disabilities may struggle with outcomes of social interactions or answers to their requests that come out to them as unexpected.
Straightforward logic (as defined by the person with the struggle) and taking a step back and overview the steps can help the person in acting and reacting to the situation at hand and take the right steps and decisions on how to continue in the new given situation.
Goals
Create a mobile app (iOS at first ) that allows struggeling people to create a preparing path of an interaction (event) they are about to have.
The path is devided in a few steps and has the desired outcome clearly as a goal
While the event takes place the app interacts with the user with flowchart style questions.
When a dismatch in the path is reached, the app encourages the user to stay calm take distance from the situation and proposes a response.
The app also proposes to text or message someone for assistance on coping with the “dismatch”
