Build a .NET wrapper for a C++ Dll - repost

Hello. I have installed DLL, I've read documentation and I'm sure it's doable for me, especially, if device is accessible for test remotely. One question - what's about C++/CLI .NET Wrapper? Is it acceptable solution for you? It produces wrapper that usable with .NET as well as regular .NET Assembly. Also, it's much easier to make C++/CLI wrapper.

Hello, Could you please clarify the following: 1. The toolkit contains both 32- and 64- bit .dlls. Which one exactly you the the wrapper for? 2. You've mentioned that you'll provide the testing device. Does that mean you want the developer to create a test application in .NET similar to one included into the toolkit? Regards, Jet Team

hi, wrapping C++ with .NET is tricky than just PInvoke. Vitual functions should be mapped specially with the .net method. I have done this for one of my customer in that case we used mixed (CLI/C++) dll as a wrapping dll. since i know the tasks involved i am bidding high. let me know if you interested so i can start checking your library. Also, to success this kind of project we need to create a some .net exe to test the wrapper dll. the const is inclusive of that. -mTech

I have done a lot of work with introp code. I would recommend that you should write a mix-mode assembly for it. Its far stable then P/Invoke stuff. Which is crape and sometime leak memory which could be hard to debug.
