I have a few simple SQL tasks that I need done. I am translating data from my excel sheets and basically need to do all the functions in SQL, here is my list:
1. Count all Blues, Greens, Purple and Pink from a column in a SQL table for Type1, Type2, Type3 and Type4 and put them into a new table that will look like the following.
Type1 Type2 Type3 Type4
Blue 24 53 34 34
Purple 34 0 1 89
Pink 87 98 678 8
Green 98 90 78 6
So to summarize in one table in one column the query needs to count the Amount of Blues for Type1 for ex. And so on… and then create this table.
2. A query that will say basically if one table an ID number like TP3435 matches another table then it will put a definition and add it to the first table.
To summarize: if Table one had various ID’s and one was TP3435 and Table two had a list of ID’s and one was TP3435 and it had a definition, then in Table one you would need to copy that definition from Table two into Table 1.
3. A query that will count all of the word Test34 for example in one column and then prefill another table.
Table1 column 1 had 45 Blues, 34 Purples, and 34 Pinks in test
Table1 column 2 had 32 Blues, 34 purples, 23 pinks done
table1 column 4 had 56 Blues, 36 Purples, 90 pinks total
The table needs to be filled with the following information.
Totals Total Colors Done In test
Blue
Purple
Pink
Totals
4. On a button click I want the values from the columns above to fill a row in a table.
For ex.
ID Date Totals Blue Purple Pink
4 3/4/2014 34 234 34 234 <- these would be the values from the above table and would be activated on button click to fill once per day.

Regarding your project, firstly the queries would be complex and complicated and require some amount of work.
