Hello. To put it simple - I've done that before. I've done some projects where interaction between external data sources and Microsoft Office documents (both Word and Excel) where required. I also have enough experience in processing Microsoft Office documents using either VBA or .NET VSTO where external WS where not involved but SQL DB where used as data source. Documents manipulation via VSTO was done both in desktop and server applications. I've implemented Office plugins using VSTO as well but honestly speaking it's not the way I prefer to solve the Office integration issues. I can provide more specific information on each of implemented Office integration usability scenarios if required. My experience with accessing web services via their JSON/XML APIs included Goggle APIs, Amazon AWS APIs, different online dictionaries (like Collins and COD) APIs. One of ongoing projects I'm involved in is online booking system where my responsibility is integration of different booking APIs including Sabre GDS API and Galileo CRS API. Hope I will be able to contribute my skills to your project. It's hard to make any serious budget estimation not knowing all the task details but I'm well aware that with my per hour rate 14 USD we'll remain in the budget frames you've defined. By now I just put some above median amount. Obviously some more specific information about the task like the Word documents samples and the reference to CRM system will be required.
