**Objective**: Ignore or provide more information (as appropriate) for the 'this row has been changed by another user' error reporting. Where there is **NO** real error, simply override the error, and update/delete silently. Where there **IS** a real conflict, then provide decision-support info to the user to effectively resolve the conflict.
**Note that there is virtually NO user interface required for this project, and the project cost needs to reflect this simplification.**
Your logic would either force the update (or skip the delete) silently where there is **NO** 'real' error/collision (as defined by me). Where there **IS** a real collision, then the values in the db record that conflict with those in the dataset record and the values in that dataset record would both be added to an 'error datatable' as 2 separate datarows, and the user notified. **I will** take care of displaying in a grid the info in a way that allows the user to chose the values for each field, and I will delete one of the records, leaving the remaining single datarow updated with the desired values. **Your** code will then FORCE the update with this single datarow, WITHOUT any further concurrency collision errors reported to the user, honoring any transaction in effect, however.
**Approach**:
The approach will be the addition of a new handler and the adding of 2 datarows to an 'Errors' datatable in the dataset. Once the user has edited the values, then the sole remaining datarow in the 'Errors' datatable will be used by YOUR code to force an update to the db (respecting any transaction in effect, however).
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
