ActiveX control executing DesktopSearch

I need an ActiveX control that is able to call the local desktop search on the users machine. We have full control about the security settings of the client machines. It must be able to run under XP and, if this is already possible to ensure, under windows 7. Only experienced programmers please or programmers having this probably already implemented. You should also deliver a small html-file showing the usage of the ActiveX control.
