Android/iPhone App (training content delivery)

Create an application (app) for the Android/iPhone market. The app will be security based, allowing only verified users access to selected content. The app will allow users to view training videos on specific subjects by streaming and caching video from an online server. There will be an accompanying website for online usage. Website and app will be based on the same membership profile.

Your expertise in getting the app approved for Android and iTunes marketing will be a valuable plus.

## Deliverables

? Database needed to store membership/login information (MySql perfectly fine)

? Website/webservice needed to facilitate membership and serve content

o .NET - C#

? Payments processed with Google Checkout (Not how iPhone works)

? User will pay for membership level : Free, Standard, Premium.

? Membership level will determine the number of, and which videos that can be viewed.

? Updating the App hierarchy. Hierarchy should be served from the webservice and have a configurable update interval.

? Website to have same core functionality. User can login and view topics and watch videos. They can also upgrade service level. (This an optional requirement for phase 1).

? User will not have access to separately download and save videos.

? Application may cache content temporarily to facilitate faster playback. Limits should be placed on disk usage (is this an OS setting?)

1. App will have a hierarchical structured menu to navigate the training material.

a. ie: Category>Topic>Content

2. App will validate user membership status prior to viewing of selected content.

3. Selected content will stream(/cache) to user's device

4. Option to play/show adds in the free version.

5. Have the ability to upgrade. (separate app? Similar to "Documents to go")

**a. ** **How does the user move from Free version to paid version?**

6. App setting allowing user to select preferred connection type: WiFi vs mobile.

a. Sounds like this is not an issue on Android

b. Setting can be done on iPhone?

7. have the ability to uninstall. (controlled by OS?)
