I need a custom class in C, C++ or Objective-C (preferred) that I can call from from my Applescript Studio application to create and set timecode tracks in QuickTime movies. It needs to be able to?
- return the frame rate of the movie
- create one or more timecode tracks per movie
- set the timecode start value passed in as a frame count since midnight, or as an 8 or 11 digit string.
- return the above.
- set & get the reel info for each timecode track
- work with these frame rates: 23.98 (i.e. 23.976), 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 59.94, 60
I know my way around timecodes, so it's not necessarily a problem if you don't. I don't know any of the C languages, or the QuickTime API, that's what you need to be good with. I gather there is lots of documentation on the web about the QuickTime API and its inner workings. This should be relatively simple for someone who is experienced with one of the C languages.
