Need an ActiveX Control for Windows 98 through all Vista versions to control the audio mixer. The control should be able to adjust the output volume and mute for: master, wave, line-in, and microphone. It should also be able to adjust the microphone recording volume.
Only the methods need to be exposed, a UI is not necessary as they will always be managed by the code.
We would prefer to have both 98-XP and Vista implementations in the same ocx.
A number of questions have been asked about the API. While we don't require any specific API, we would like to see something similar to the following capabilities implemented:
Constants
vcMaster int
vcLineIn int
vcWave int
vcMic int

We're going to end the bid early. Before we do, I'd like to tell those people who are still interested in bidding on this project what we're looking for as a result just to make sure everyone one knows what's expected. When accessing the methods of the control, the control should be able to do the following: o Adjusting volume should make respecive Windows Volume Control slider move and be reflected in audible sound o Adjusting volume should have same result as moving Windows Volume Control sliders o Muting should be reflected in Windows Volume Control and audible sound o Muting mic on playback side, no sound heard from speaker, but mic input still going to PC This should be obvious, but our biggest concern is Vista and we want to make sure it operates the same on Vista as it does on 98-XP. We will make our selection on 12/5/2007. Thanks for all your responses, Steve
