* Write a program that produces an edge map of an image using Sobel gradient edge filters. The threshold for the edge map should be an input to the program. The program should also output a second image containing the edge direction (this can be encoded at sufficient precision in a byte). * Write a program to find circles in an image using the circular Hough transform. The program can either be an extention of your edge detection program or a separate program which reads in the edge map and direction images. First determine the centre of probable circles by accumulating in (a,b) space - where a,b are the centre co-ordinates - and locate hot spots in the accumulator array. Then, for each detected centre, determine the radius of the circle by accumulating the nearby edge points in 1D. The program should output an image showing the accumulator array in a,b space and an image showing the location of the detected circles overlaid on the original image. For this whole project, please use the IPLIB library which greatly simplifies the production of images and the manipulation of them (it, for example, includes functions that can load a b/w image into a 2d array of greyscale values between 0 and 255). ## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
