Dark age of camelot spellcrafting aid

The excellent (IMHO) online game 'Dark Age of Camelot' has a way of creating magical items for the game. The process is quite complicated but well documented, with free calculators (in JavaScript) giving the equations An overview: [url removed, login to view] An online calculator: [url removed, login to view] It gets complicated when trying to decide on the play enchantments for six items, when there are limits that have to be considered, and a desire to maximise the overall result. To me it seems like an 'Operations Research' linear programming algorithm is needed, where various effects are listed as desirable and the project code works out an optimal solution. Now I've not put many details here, as it probably sounds very odd to 99% of readers, but I assure you its just fun and I can detail more when you contact me. What I want is either a desktop application, or better yet, a web based application using scripting. The application accepts a user's details, item details and what the user wants most. The result is the generation of a list magical jewels that would maximise the user's requirements.
