Amounts adding up in database

Hey,

I have a mysql database and I need to find out some amounts from my data.

In the accounts table I have loads of transactions with an amount value and each one has the date/time stamp record in UNIX.

I need to know all the rows from 2005, 2006, 2007 and how much the earnings were in those periods (also want 2008 so far as well)

Also I need you to find out which user has earnt a lot of money and how much that, that user has earnt each month in the row the users username is in the row as well.

Overall its a pretty simple project.
