Child theme for bestbits.net to solve problems with existing theme

I have a commercial theme for [login to view URL] called expo18. I contacted the designers of that theme to do some customisations for me, but they are too busy. So with their approval I'm putting it out to Freelancer. I need a new theme (or child theme) that will overcome these problems: 1. We need all the pages (including events and wiki pages) to default to using full width. I temporarily "hacked" this for events by editing [login to view URL], but it didn't "take" for the wiki pages (eg. [login to view URL]). 2. I need you to fix the fault whereby the visual wiki editor does not work, only the HTML editor works - I contacted the wiki plugin developers, and they believe it's a theme issue since switching to a standard theme solves the problem. 3. We don't want to lose any of the existing functionality of the current theme such as the shortcodes. That's why I figured that a child theme would be the best approach. Generally, the theme also needs to be made less event-centric. We don't need the countdown ticker, and the empty space where it used to be could be used for something else. Also, if possible a slightly different "look and feel" including a different background would be great. Price is important. I do not have a big budget and would prefer to pay nearer to the bottom end of the range. Bids at the top end will not be able to be considered.
