Custom public uploader for WP's NextGen gallery

MISSION:

The mission here is to implement a simple community-driven gallery for my WordPress site, making use of NextGen Gallery plugin.

DETAILS:

A custom front-end uploading form for NextGen Gallery plugin is needed. Guests should be able to use the form to upload photo, choose a gallery for it, and fill some text custom fields. NextGen then sends a message to my email address asking to moderate the photo. It would be nice also to get the moderation warning in the WP dashboard, or even at the top of each admin page (something like the update warning).

Basically there are two parts here:

(1) Implementing a front-end uploader.

(2) Implementing custom fields mechanism for the plugin images.

NextGen Public Uploader ([url removed, login to view]) can do #1, while NextGEN Custom Fields ([url removed, login to view]) is capable of doing #2. The problem is that they cannot work together, because the latter doesn't provide the needed hooks for the uploader to assign the image's custom field value.

I don't mind of using any of those, or other, plugins as it/they reduce the work effort, thus the cost. You're even free to provide the work as a modified versions of NextGEN Custom Fields and NextGen Public Uploader plugins them-selves. It's completely okay. We can then publish them so people that need something like that can use them as well.

In case you're going with a complete custom solution, please keep in mind the security stuff when implementing the uploader.

BUDGET & TIME:

I have a low budget so don't expect much. The priority for the cheapest, quickest made, but cleanly implemented, solution. I hate dirty, uncommented codes by the way ;)
