Open-source project to develop the first product iteration of a professional networking site, the winning bidder will get first opportunity to develop subsequent stages of this site. This site can be either developed from scratch or built on a customisable open-source CMS or social network platform such as BuddyPress, Drupal or Elgg. Preference is to reduce cost and time by using existing platform and plug ins that can be customised. Must have knowledge of LinkedIn API's. User hierarchy: Site admin/manager Network 1 manager... Network 1 users ... Network 2 manager ... Network 2 users ... Stage 1 requirements: Home/landing page inc. graphic design platform for multiple networks on the one site eg. [login to view URL]; [login to view URL] etc. Sign up page including LinkedIn Open Authorisation (OAuth) Database with user profile information extracted from LinkedIn Customisable user profiles that replicates users LinkedIn profile data Dashboard-style user home page including network activities/news, search fields, message inbox etc. Advanced search functionality for users to find connections based on multiple search filters One to one and one to many messaging functionality Repository for uploaded content inc. documents, links, audio, video User sub-groups with messaging features Discussion forum Event calendar Job posts inc. job post template/form and application form Network manager dashboard plus the following functionality: Push communication to network members Ability to upload news feeds and online content Create and manage events that get sent out to users calendars Advanced search for network members based on multiple search criteria Creation of folders with saved user profiles from search results Reporting tool for network manager to publish report on users e.g. number of users by location, industry, company etc Site admin/manager dashboard plus the following functionality: As above for network manager but access to messaging, search and reporting for all networks on the site Website analytics (preferably a free tool such as Google Analytics) to measure number of unique visits, page views, time spent on site etc. Ability to create new networks eg. [login to view URL] Advertising banner (top page and side bar) Some graphic design will be required but general design principle will be simple to conform with LinkedIn style Hosting will most likely be on Amazon Web Services Timeframe is 6-8 weeks for development and 2 weeks of testing Payment will be based on milestone completion
