dhtml slide in menu for webpage

I need to include a slide in dhtml menu on a certain area of a webpage. The html for both pages have already been created. However, I don't know how to make the inserted page (menu) invisible and then visible onmouseover. I have mockups of what i need that i can show to make it clearer.
