Configure wu-ftpd server on Ubuntu
We have installed wu-ftp on ubuntu and use webmin for server admin purposes.
We can't get wu-ftp to work correctly. The issue is that guest users (as defined on wu-ftp) should be chroot'ed to their home directory. However, this is not working. For example, we created a new user "james" with home directory /var/www/./james/. We defined this user as a "guest" in wuftp's webmin control panel. However, the chroot does not seem to work as "james" can log in via ftp and still see all directories (he should only see and have access to his home directory).
This is a new server (no data on it yet) and we can give you full webmin and root access to fix this.
Please only respond if you have wu-ftp, ubuntu and webmin experience.
Thanks.
