The project is about Congestion Control in Wireless Networks. It involves congestion control over a 802.11 MAC layer protocol. Simulation is done in Network Simulator 2 (NS2) Have to design a single MAC layer channel initially in NS2 and note the efficiency of the channel. Then simulate 2 MAC channels crossing at a single point and traffic (packets) are sent on both channels. At the point of intersection of the 2 channels, there is a sensor which is regulating the traffic. For example say that the rate of the whole system is 120 Mbps. One channel can transmit at 100 Mbps and the other is transmitting at 20 Mbps. Now, if there is an increase of traffic on the 2nd channel from say 20 to 50 Mbps, the sensor which is at the intersection should regulate the traffic and help control congestion in the network. It should send a back off message to the 2nd channel so that the total traffic is kept the same. Efficiency is then noted. Then have to observe the Congestion at the point where the two channels intersect and simulate mechanisms like buffer or time roll back or priortising the channels to avoid congestion. So basically we have to avoid congestion using buffer and fairness. Please see tha attached file for further details.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

Linux/UNIX/Cygwin is the platform and Network Simulator is the simulator
