AWS autoscaling and auto deployment script

I need to setup Autoscaling along with autodeployment of code from github private repository to multiple EC2 instances whenever someone pushes code to the repo.
Please mention how will you do the task.
I guess it'll involve puppet or other provisioning tools but I'm not so sure.
You'll be granted with IAM access to my AWS account.
