Contest Site

I need a web site that will allow us to track points for a contest of about 40 to 60 participants.? We will host site on Windows 2000 machine with IIS, MySQL and .NET available.? Here is the Contest Summary:

Each week on Tuesday nights, participants log into the site, and select their selections as to who will be eliminated from the show that week. The first week, they will assign 12points (most likely to be eliminated) to 1 point (least likely) for each of the show's contestants.

In week 2, since there will only be 11 American Idol contestants left, they will then assign 11 to 1 points ; in week 3, there are 10, etc.

Participants do not stick with their original picks, but reorder them after each week's performance.

Entries close at 9 a.m. Eastern Time Wednesday morning. (The administrator should be able to select time and day of deadline.)

Each Wednesday night after the show, the administrator will enter who was kicked off, and the program will assign points to the participants based on their selections.

Cumulative point standings will be generated and tracked.

?

Whoever has the most points at the end of the season is the winner, with their week one selection of the ultimate American Idol winner serving as the tiebreaker.

- **Make Their Picks**: **AIPICKS.htm.** After selecting the Contestants from drop down menus their selections will be displayed with a note that will state Please confirm accuracy of your picks YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE THEM ONCE THEY ARE SUBMITTED.? ? After final submission they will be taken to a page that displays their Current Picks along with a note that says:? Please Print This Page for your records.? ? ? NOTE:? Picks will only be accepted during a specific window of time that we can set through setting in GENERAL SETTINGS Pages which is an Admin page.

- **See Their Current Picks**:? Displays their picks after they have been successfully submitted.

- **See Everyone's Picks For This Week**:? This feature will only be available for participants who have made their picks for that current week.? It can be in a form of a chart .

- **CURRENT STANDINGS**:? **[url removed, login to view] ** This page has to keep a running tally of the cumulative points awarded to each Participant for the duration of the contest.

**ADMINISTRATION**

For simplicity the Administrators can be manually be set up at the beginning for 2 or 3 users. ? However, If it is just as easy to increase rights after a user has set that is fine as well.

2 ??" Admin? Page Allows for administration of the following settings:

- **Contestants**: (**[url removed, login to view])** There will be 12 final Contestants that will initially be set up.? Each Week one of the contestants will be deleted.

- **Participants:** **([url removed, login to view])** Here Admin will be able to administer any changes to Participant settings.? Please note Programming Notes on corresponding HTM file.

? Between this basic spec and the? attached HTML files and Programming notes contained in some of those HTML files I believe this project can successfully be completed.? Will need some of your own thought in the flow as well as where every page takes you or takes you back too.? ? This is meant to be a VERY simple site.? It is for fun and we will not be profiting or generating revenue from it.? We suspect there will be a total of 45 to 60 total participants.
