I'm looking to build some software that has a database of images (tiff files). The projects range from 1000 to 250000 records.
A user would enter an ID and the software brings up that image. The ID and image are the same name...for example user enters 12345 and the image is called [login to view URL]
User is then able to accept or decline image as a match. If they decline then select why.
The software should also have reporting capabilities like end of day scanning, and a running totals of accept of declines.
Our clients already use Sql Server Express 2005 for different software, we'd like to keep them on this type of database if possible.
It was not exactly clear whether this needs to be a desktop or web application but it doesn't make a difference to me since I have done something similar on both platforms.
In the desktop application a user enters a code and the program displays a green light on a match and a red light if no match.
In the web application, the user enters an error code and the system displays an image and test on how to correct the error.
I imagine that I could use some of my previous code as a base in order to shorten the development and insure a bug free product.
I can provide references for these two projects upon request.
