Brief Job Description : I am looking to hire an experienced software developer to build 2 extensions to a pre - existing Wordpress Plugin. The Wordpress plugin that I would like to have extended is Woocommerce. Woocommerce is an E-commerce plugin which allows users to sell products online by website with Wordpress. I would like to add 2 extensions to the Woocommerce plugin Extension 1: I would like a PayPal checkout button added to the shopping cart on the woocommerce plugin. This PayPal checkout button should REPLACE the current “PROCEED TO CHECKOUT “ button on the shopping cart. This PayPal checkout button will allow the user to go straight to PayPal to make payment and save the customer from completing the pre-existing “Checkout form” which is currently on the woocommerce set up. This PayPal Checkout will need to be linked up to the PayPal settings within the woocomerce admin so that the “notification” emails (emails that come to your inbox to tell you that you have made a sale) will have the customer’s personal address details on for product fulfilment, this applies to products that will have to be shipped physically (DVD’s, CD’s) Extension 2: I would like to have a very similar process for digital downloads. This is how it would work. The customer can click the “Download Now” button for the digital downloadable product on the page, and then the PayPal checkout box will automatically appear on the screen for the customer to make payment without leaving the website , when payment has been completed the customer will then have instant access to the digital downloadable product. There will be no forms to complete or any other nonsense, just a simple PayPal checkout to make payment, and then the customer will have instant access there and then. Important Things for these extensions: As Woocommerce is updated every so often I need this be 100% compatible with these updates. What do I mean by this?. I want these extensions added to the latest version of the plugin, and I need to be able to update the plugin whenever woocommerce is updated by its developers without messing up these extensions of the functions of the plugin. This is important as wordpress plugins do get updated quite often. I would like to be able to use this Woocommerce to sell Products in a funnel type of marketing. I will need these PayPal extensions to be compatible with that. CUSTOMIZABLE PayPal checkout: This is VERY IMPORTANT, I would like to have few PayPal options to customize the appearance of the PayPal checkout for both PC viewing and Mobile viewing. This is important to me. This PayPal checkout customization should apply to both extensions. If possible Customize appearance of shopping cart with PayPal checkout button for mobile users, if this is possible. IMPORTANT NOTE: I want to be able to use this new modified plugin with the 2 new extensions and customizable PayPal checkout on UNLIMITED websites. There should be no disruptions to the current functions on Woocommerce with these 2 extensions. The plugin should operate and function smoothly when they are added. Also If possible, I would like to have the shopping cart for woocommerce made more mobile user friendly. I would like the shoppping cart to be stream lined to fit the mobile device viewing it.
