Build me a big data ticker

Hi, Please take a look at my site and the image attached - [login to view URL] I need a applet, script, flash plugin or whatever you choose to sit in that box. What it will do is show a real time counter for the number of new content published on the web. This will be made up of tweets, web pages, facebook content, instagram images, social shares - the list goes on. It's up to you to figure out which data sources can be used. Secondly, I need to show this plugin in another page so it must be customisable. Maybe creating a Wordpress plugin is the way to go? I need it to sit in that space though so please understand that I am working with Wordpress and the limitations and expectations of the platform. I'll need you to integrate it into my site too.
